Automat for Reused and Recycled Products

Swap-o-Matic is a vending machine that allows users to donate items and receive items. Bascially, operating as an automatic thrift store, customers donate an item to the vending machine and in return get an item of their choice. According to the company, the US — with only six per cent of the world’s population — consumes 30 per cent of its resources. As per Springwise, Lina Fenequito the creator of Swap-o-Matic states "The goal fo Swap-o-Matic is to promote a shift from unconscious consumption to more sustainable living." Once registered through the vending machine's touchscreen, people can login and have the choice to donate, receive or swap. Each donation earns the customer one credit and receiving an item costs one credit. The vending machine has been on tour throughout NYC. You can find the Swap-o-Matic by following it on the website.

I see great potential here for the events arena. Adding a sustainability element to help bring some accountability to consumer events. Would need to think of a great way to implement it. The cogs are turning already :)
