Microsoft is launching four new devices later today, so to coincide with the launches and take on the Android and Apple phone platforms, the company has decided to plant a GIANT billboard. The 6-story phone is on the pedestrian plaza on 34th street Herald Square - right next to Macy's. I'm not kidding when I say it's huge and actually measure out to be 6 stories.
Does it grab people's attention? Yes. Will it sell more Windows phones? Not sure. I love my iPhone, and I am not sure whether a 6-story phone will make me change my mind. I think the stunt needs to be a little more content driven...but maybe there is more content to come.
