DJ Light

DJ Light is an art installation built in Lima, Peru. The installation lets visitors conduct their own light and sound show with a wave of the hand. Designed by UK company Cinimod Studio for the energy company Endesa, the installation is made up of 85 inflatable light globes, each filled with LED lights that are capable of displaying millions of colors.

Visitors mount to podium, and conduct the globes to influence the light and sounds of the installation. They technology used here is thermal detection. A heat responsive camera that hangs over the podium tracks the visitor's movements, and then signals them to custom built AV software.

Lovers of Disney's Fantasia will totally dig this installation. Now...how do I get to Lima?!
