Prague Subways fitted with Virtual Grocery Stores
Imagine, you are on your way home from work. Tired from the long day. Just as you sit on the subway daydreaming of putting your feet up and relaxing you remember you need to pick up a few things from the store. How great would it be if your store was literally the same station you would be walking home from. Through a partnership with PandG and Mall.cz, four of Prague's busiest subway stations now include virtual grocery stores. You shop by phone, and the items are delivered to your home. So you don't even have to carry the bags!
Launched last month, the stores are wallpapered onto subway corridor walls and look like regular brick and mortar stores. You can see products, descriptions and prices. All you need to do is download the app and use your smartphone to scan the QR codes associated with each of the project. Point, Click, and Purchase. The customer gets a confirmation with delivery time and if you don't need the items super fast you can get free second-day delivery.
