I was privileged to have been a part of an impromptu show and tell during an event earlier this year, I can say Nathan Myhrvold is a genius! The six volume, 2400 page set claims it reinvents cooking. The beautiful illustrations and photographs, along with the scientific techniques used to describe the cooking process of various foods, are stunning.

The book captures food and drink with a keen eye for composition and detail. In a recent review with Feature Shoot, photographer Ryan Matthew Smith discusses the making of the book and says it "will change the way we understand the kitchen."
