BMW's Subliminal Messaging
BMW partnered with Serviceplan Munich to help get the BMW logo into the minds of potential motorbike fans with the BMW Flash Projection project. During a Superbike film event commercial the BMW team flashed the BMW logo onto the eyes of the audience. By the end of the commercial, audience members who closed their eyes said they could see the BMW logo. The campaign was good enough to win Gold for Media Usage and Bronze for Film at the 2010 Epica Awards. Whether you think its creepy in a clockwork orange kind of way or a genius marketing technique...it works!
