Union Square in Motion

Happy Columbus Day!

Going to Union Square today? Check out Union Square in Motion, a continuation of Bryant Park in Motion that launched last year. It consists of nine sets of abstract images projected onto two "digital lenticular linear zoetropes." Yes, it's a mouthful, but essentially the project created an animated illusion for subway commuters walking by. The project was created by Parson students and alumni and New York City's Submedia LLC Advertising.

The overall aim of the project is to make the Union Square station stop a more enjoyable experience. And with 34,730,692 commuters going through Union Square last year, it is definitely a high traffic area. Stop by and let me know what you think.
